Saving lives is what an emergency department is all about and the Emergency Department at Galesburg Cottage Hospital does just that in a new $6.5 million facility easily accessible from both Kellogg and Losey streets while offering privacy and reduced wait times.

Galesburg Cottage Hospital's experienced and highly credentialed group of emergency medicine physicians, as well as nurses, and technicians, also specializing in emergency medicine, are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our Emergency Department is equipped to handle major and minor emergencies. The department provides care to any patient in the community seeking emergent, urgent or non-urgent medical care and professional nursing services.

All rooms are capable of handling most emergencies with designated trauma, orthopedic, OB-GYN rooms, ophthalmic, and laceration rooms as well as three open bay beds, and a dedicated decontamination shower.

We continually monitor the promptness and effectiveness of our Emergency Services through Patient Satisfaction Survey.
